New Area!

We received this email from Elder Olivier on January 23, 2023. 

Hey everyone!

I got sent to a new area last month so I thought I'd update you all. I left the beloved land of Hyde Park, Chicago and arrived in the cornfields of Indiana. I'm serving in the Hebron Ward. It's a big area but scarcely populated compared to the city. Being back in a car area has taken some getting used to. The ward here is super awesome. They are so willing to help us out and give us food.  

The work has been a lot different in this new area but there's a lot of great people here too. Our most progressing friend is Jason. He was going through a really hard time when he first met the missionaries. He's grateful he met us because he's been having a lot more faith lately. At church on Sunday multiple members of the ward came up and said hi to him and he seems to be making slow but steady progress!

I also was able to find a Russian- speaking guy and start teaching him. He told a pretty cool story about how he came close to death and what that was like. He feels like God has a big purpose for him which is awesome. 

A lot more notable stuff happened since I emailed last. Maybe I'll send a more full update next time.
